Breadcoin Foundation, Ltd. announced a new participating vendor in Washington, DC, Blossom Bakery. They are accepting Breadcoin tokens as payment for food at farmers markets and community events.
Blossom Bakery has incredible baked goods, but it is so much more. Envisioned and created as a workforce development program, Blossom Bakery is a DC-based nonprofit “dedicated to empowering and training chronically under-employed community members.”
They teach interpersonal and soft business skills and have a focus on resilience-building, helping workers learn to handle the inevitable stresses of work and life.
Contact owner Marissa Jacobson to see about having Blossom Bakery cater, set up a “bake sale” format, or find them at one of the local food markets including Park View Market, which has several Breadcoin vendors.
