Breadcoin exists to address three problems: inadequate food assistance for people without access to a kitchen, the epidemic of social isolation, and the overlooked economies of undeserved communities.

Each Breadcoin food token is valued at $3.00 and redeemed at participating food vendor locations.

Breadcoins make up the foundation of The Token Network Program, which is powered by interconnected groups of community members, donors, partners, and customers in each Breadcoin location who are committed to the shared belief that everyone deserves the dignity of choosing their own meal.

● How it works

• Donors fund the distribution of Breadcoin Tokens.
• Partners (individuals, community organizations, government agencies, or faith-based institutions) distribute Breadcoin Tokens to the people they serve.
• Customers use Breadcoin Tokens to purchase meals of their choice at participating vendor locations. Many customers who use Breadcoin Tokens are experiencing the kitchen gap, while other customers purchase and use Breadcoin Tokens as one way to play a small part in destigmatizing hunger.
• Vendors accept Breadcoin Tokens as a valued method of payment and receive a direct deposit payment for those redeemed tokens on a monthly basis.

● A seat at the table

Breadcoin works with vendors and partners to create pop-up community meals at beautifully set tables through the Table Network Program. Events are often located proximate to participating vendors or catered by Breadcoin vendors.
