Announcing a New DC Vendor: Blossom Bakery

Breadcoin Foundation, Ltd. announced a new participating vendor in Washington, DC, Blossom Bakery. They are accepting Breadcoin tokens as payment for food at farmers markets and community events.

Blossom Bakery has incredible baked goods, but it is so much more. Envisioned and created as a workforce development program, Blossom Bakery is a DC-based nonprofit “dedicated to empowering and training chronically under-employed community members.”

They teach interpersonal and soft business skills and have a focus on resilience-building, helping workers learn to handle the inevitable stresses of work and life.

Contact owner Marissa Jacobson to see about having Blossom Bakery cater, set up a “bake sale” format, or find them at one of the local food markets including Park View Market, which has several Breadcoin vendors.

Breadcoin Foundation, Ltd. announced a new participating vendor in Washington, DC, accepting Breadcoin tokens as payment for food at their establishment.

Breadcoin is excited to welcome Ledo Pizza (7435 Georgia Avenue, NW) as our newest vendor in the Brightwood neighborhood.

Currently operating for catering or phone-in orders, Ledo is a popular DC-area restaurant, originally begun in College Park, Maryland.

Their trademark square pizzas are stellar for families, events, feeding a crowd.

We’re grateful to have this Ledo location as part of our network of food establishments feeding the community with dignity and without stigma. Our food vendors are at the heart of our efforts, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
